Walk to Bum Dra Ney.

View of Bumdra Temple
The 29th of July 2018 became one of the unforgettable day to me, as i made up to Bum Dra Ney. It is one of my destination when i was in class twelve. In 2013, four of us planned, but due to the some circumstances, we could not. However i have prayed for success in another day. Today i am sure that God heard my prayers and bless us in the form of some miracles.

Fifteen of us gathered at Babesa by around 4 am. From there we manage our self by vehicle till the SangaChhekor Lhakhang which is located on the hill side of Paro valley.

Guru's Ausha.
We must know that, there are three points that we can starts actually. One from shari, is not that popular. One from Sangachhekor, is one of the famous points that most of the visitors used to take that points. One from Paro Taksang, some of them used to take that path too reach to their destination. If w are not aware of the starting points, one must refrain from deciding the points. There is risk to lost in the thick forest.

Bumdra is located at Paro an altitude of about 3800 m above the sea level. The trail is little muddy and slippery due to the monsoon rains. We enjoy the walk with fresh air and the smell from varieties of flowers on the way.

The main temple is located in the middle of precarious cliff just like the Dra Karpo and Tiger Nest. We must go with the help of ladder.

Bumdra Khenpo shares us the history that, when Guru Rinpoche visited our country and after sometimes, he mediated in that cave. On his meditation, a group of thousand of Dakinis came to serve him the basic needs. Due to their enormous help, today we can see the hundred thousand of imprints by Dakinis.

There are few holy stream, and believe that it will wash all the impurities within us.

After getting the blessing from main temple, again we have to starts the journey towards the three mountaintop burials or crematorium. It is believe that Guru have personally bless the mountaintop burials and we can see the Guru Crown which is made of rock. Inside that crown, there is small medatation space, and believe that Guru mediate there for sometimes for the sentibeings.

We made a very successful walk to Bumdra and we are truly blessed. We prayed for the sentibeings to free from the ocean of samsara.

Tashi Delek!
