Drakarpo Kora (Circumambulation)
The Monastery was created in 8th century A.D by Guru Rinpoche. If we carefully observe, we can see, the monastery was located on the heart of cliff.
During that time, i met one old man. He told me that, ''cliff resemble that of Mountain Tisi,middle is that of Lachi Chhu, base is that of mountain Tsari''.
According to Monastery Khenpo, he told that, '' the cliff is residence of Rigsum Gonpo, 21 Dolma Tara. The cliff also blessed by KhandroYeshey Tshogyel and thousand Dakinis. The site was blessed by First Namkai Nyingpo, Lam Drukpa Kuenley, Lam Phajo Dugom Zhigpo, Verocana, Thangtong Gyelpo. They left their imprints on the cliff.
The nangtens and Treasures of the Monastery are, Guru Pema Jugney, Guru Nagsi Zilnion, Khandro Yeshey Tshogyel, Lhacham Mandarava, Lord Buddha,Chenrizi, Deity Daka Tsen''.
Therefore, all the citizens of our country are well known about our religious activities. we always offer clean water, butter lamps every morning and after that, we offer our food before we eat. we never hurt others with intentions etc.These are the some of our great culture which was in forced by our fore great parents.
On 12.04.2018, i was in office, busy scrolling the face book button, and you must know that i am the fan of Sir Wangyel Tshering. I always used to read his articles and finally, i saw his articles about the Drakarpo Kora. I was curious and read it. It was all about the Drakarpo Kora and he as nailed it out and was very informative.
If we happens to do 108 rounds of circumambulation, that massive rocks, even the sin of killing ones own parents would be liberate, which was prophesied by the Guru Rinpoche and in future, the right Tertoens will discover the scared relics from that massive rock.
I even had plan before, to visit there and do the 108 rounds of circumambulation. But i was not well known the locations and all. After reading his articles, all picture came in my mind and i have set my goal on my birthday, which falls on 20th of July.
I have a friend named, Mr Kunzang Norbu, tall and kind heart and willing to help others, he will always respect the human value and he is the one of them whom i admire a lots. We discuss about the journey and we set the timing and all.
We know that the July is a monsoon month and we aspect the heavy rains. However the day started with sunny and with clear sky. We started our journey by 6 Am. My friend went by taxi with his village mate and i went by my only V15. We reach there by 9 AM and many of them started circumambulating.
Before we joined them, we made prostrate to the massive rocks and Guru Rinpoche, to bless the sentibeings and let them to free from the ocean of samsara. Then we started our circumambulation and we have done the 108 rounds in three days. It was a joy and unforgettable moments in my life. I was pleased to have this opportunities to do it.We ended by singing three songs in-front of the massive rock and visited the lakhang, offered some prayers and prostration.
This is all we have done successfully is due to the blessing from Guru Rinpoche himself. We were all satisfied and we shall pray to reborn in this wonderful kingdom of Bhutan. May the religious flourishes till the eternity.
