The Niebee Village ......

I'm sure you all have heard and some might have visited Takela, where the massive Guru Nangsizelion, the world largest Guru Statue build by late His Holiness Khenpo Karpo Rinpoche, the founder of Druk Odiyana. Khenpo was well known by the world for his visionary moves to benefit and for world peace. People's resides nearby, were blessed and shall remembered throughout. We shall pray for your quick rebirth to placate the suffering of sentibeings.
From Takela it will just take fifteen minutes by walk and five minutes by drive to reach our village.
One can feels, with terraced paddy fields which are more refreshing and green in summer, that take on the hue of ripe paddy in Autumn. Farmers also blessed with yellow blooms of maize, from which they grows for extracting local Ara and Bangchang for drinking whenever they wish.
One will heard about the Pelri lhakhang just above the village and will takes two hours to reach there. It Is also one of the main lhakhang, where peoples seek refuge wherever they go and do. Where Guru Pedmasambava and Yedum Lhamo are the main protector. There is also a annual Tshechu jointly conducted by the villagers.
Below Pelri lhakhang, one can see gaint rock called Gonbu Dowa (STONE) Our ancestor believes, a group of Dakini used to circumambulate at night as there is hidden treasure in it. If one can go early morning, will see the footprint of Dakini.
Besides Gombu Dowa, there is also huge cliff and gaint pine trees on it and one huge cliff below. It is called Tsaduenbrang and Tshangchola. It is believed that, there is local diety(Tsen). During my childhoods days, our parents used to tell not to go alone. If we go there, they will hide, curse us badly and give food in forms of earthworms. By keeping these advices in mind, we never go and instead of going, we used to play Kingball, six stone game at Mekshasing, our popular play ground. I'm sure, what our parents told us were not true, it might came from ancestors believes. These are from upper Niebee village.
From lower Niebee village, one will hear about Drongtor and Drongma. Whenever our people play Khuru and Archery, we used to seek help from Drongtor, where Aurtse Chempo and Drongma, where Yedam Lhamo residence to win the game.
Our village located within splendid biodiversity and surrounds with mountains.
They are not just mountains for us, but they are gods, our guardians and gifts from mother earth. There are three waterfalls, Tsangburchhuzer, six hours walk from our village, as it's sources lies in the high glaciers of Nangsar mountain and Gonpo and Gonmo waterfalls (Gonpo - male local diety. Gonmo - female local diety) one can see by walking four hours walk from Kesebee lhakhang, located in Shungkhar village from Aielhamo mountain region. There is also one lhakhang at Dungkhar Dowa head by one of Lama. Annually Tshechu conducted for the people of Shungkhar and placate the suffering of all sentibeings. On reaching these mountains, one should not call own names, in case if someone being missed.

There is a story, our ancestor used to tell us that, there were five of them lost their way from each other. Amoung them one of friend named called Mergorla is missed from them. While searching the lost friend, they shout in top of their voice, "Mergola mergola mergola."... within no time, strong wind with hailstorm buffet on their way. They tried to run, but feels someone is pulling from behind. In this way, they can't even move forward. Finally they all died. The one who pulled from behind is Mergola or Yeti. Thus calling own names in high mountain are prohibited. We still believe in it, while in these mountains.
These three waterfalls becomes very muddy in summer months with heavy rainfall that region receives. In such situation, it's bad for aquatic life, but on other hand, swollen river benefit for the farmers and prayer wheels.
Gonpo and Gonmo waterfall gently flows from right. On joining small streams, makes churpogangchhu. On other hand, Tsangburchhuzer waterfalls rushes from left. On joining small streams makes Bagangchhu.
We knew that, these three waterfalls are from different sources, however by faith, they meet at Teldratsho at Greymelay and together makes water offering to local deities Garab Wangchuk, the residence at Tongkhar and finally joins gaint Kuri Chu.
From Tongkhar, it will take three hours to reach to Rawabee Gonpa, where hundred of monks and nuns headed by His Eminent Rinzin Longyang Rinpoche. Each and every people's gather to witness the annual Tshechu with blessing from Rinpoche. Thus all of us were blessed throughout.

Tashi Delek!
